Apparently I just have to keep spending money on my buddy. I was thinking of darkening the blue on my St Tropez to a color closer to the seat. Just because I think the bigger contrast would be groovy lookin and I'm just that obsessed with being a little different. Anybody do something like that to their Bud? Cost estimate??

You can buy krylon fusion paint which works wonderful with plastics. It cost around 5-6 dollars a can. Depending on how much you will be painting and how many coats, it could cost you just one can for a small area, or several cans for a large area. I'd say no more than 30 dollars worth of paint, but dont forget to get lots of painters blue tape.

Better to remove the panels you want to paint. Its not difficult and it makes the painting job much simpler.

you will actually want the green tape, its for autos...it is even less harsh than the plue tape which is for house painting
I have had really good luck with the green tape, my only advice....buy twice what you think u need, because you will use it.

Check out the Scooter Gallery forum. There are some threads with great custom paint jobs featured in them.

I think he was joking/being sarcastic more then giving you a hard time.
Pretty much the entire exterior of the Buddy is plastic. This has many advantages: easy to clean, cheap to replace, easy to paint. Disadvantages: doesn't look as good as metal, breaks.
