I'm not saying the suggestions in this article aren't worth considering; I just find this one paragraph to be outrageous. But I guess this is a reality for a lot of folks, thankfully here in Belfast Maine, its not.

"To keep thieves from knowing where it's garaged, watch your mirrors as you approach your residence. About once a month, as I approach my house, I'll spot someone who might be following me. Instead of making that final turn toward home, I'll drive right on by, then make three or four turns around a block a short way beyond. If that vehicle is still following after I have made that many turns, my next turn is toward the police station. When I get home, the bike immediately gets tucked out of view. "

Just look at the latest product from Kryptonite and tell us that! Harrumph!

I celebrate this for two reasons. It gives me more fodder for http://www.thingstoworryabout.com and it provides one more reason to keep riding.

Just look at the latest product from Kryptonite and tell us that! Harrumph!

I'll be picking up one of those Kryptonite locks soon, probably the one you listed in your post. Granted it weighs upwards of 10+lbs, but it worth it. When a thief sees one of those babies, they say, "Fahgettaboudit!" Plus I'm originally from NY so it just fits.

It's the Belfast ME Kryptonite lock.

I often notice people following me home. I usually divert through a nearby sewage treatment facility, so as to throw off the scent.
I also keep numerous disguises in the pet carrier....
