Should I lay down a deposit or wait for a used one?

Post by dakims »

I was planning on putting a deposit down for a buddy 125. The dealer says they are currently out and their entire next shipment, which comes in 1.5 weeks has already been sold out as well. He doesn't know when the next shipment after that comes in and thats the one I would be reserving for. So my question is should I just put the deposit in this week or should I just wait and hope that one goes up for sale somewhere and risk having the second shipment lost as well? The deposits are non-refundable btw.

Depends on how bad you want/need one. With a deposit, at least oyu know you're getting one, KWIM? As for a used one, that's luck o'the draw if you can find one.

Those things are getting scooped up before the ad even hits the net.
Yes, it's fast. No, you can't ride it.

I'd put down the deposit. You could wait a long time to be lucky enough to score a used one that's been treated how you would have treated it yourself.
