I think its pretty cool how many people you meet while riding, or stopping at gas stations, stores, etc.
And there seems to be a sense of brotherhood among two wheelers - Ive gotten a few low waves from guys on Harleys already.
Although, the other day I went to the store and parked next to a nice black Yamaha motorcycle - trimmed out and really tough looking. After I leave the store and am putting my stuff in the glovebox, a girl (probably 20 years younger than me) hops on the Yamaha. She kinda gave me a look - and the best I could come out with was "Wow. You're bike is cooler than mine!".
We had a short conversation about commuting, the weather, her bike etc.
Then she hopped on and roared off (without a helmet), as I buckled my 3/4 helmet and locked up my little glovebox of my butter yellow scooter.
Emasculating? Possibly.
Funny? Certainly.
But my 14 year old daughter described it best.. "ooo. Awkward!"
