I know, I know.

And it sort of takes off on sotied's Things to Worry About blog...

Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana or Texas (note I'm naming states the truck would have to go through to get to me) could endure huge statewide power grid failure. Gas pumps being all digital and crap could fail. Truckers cannot gas up to reach destinations. Bonheur stuck in some gas station Groundhog Day (huh. another movie for the list) hades.

I just realized the dealership is not open on Sundays or Mondays...*snifflesnork*

Dealership prep guy could take ill.

And there's so much more...

Please...somebody...hit me with a two x four so I will stop this madness.

What? No power? How else will I watch diners drive ins and dives on food network?!

the wait to pick up my scoot was made easier by getting my gear. i had all my gear, had taken the msf, and had my seat cover on order before i even had ines home. hehehe.

maybe you can look into your insurance stuff too. or make a schematic of the accessories you want to get on monsieur bonheur. have you bugged somebody to buy you a gremlin bell? memorized the scooterworks buddy catalog?

It is good to see someone as committed and eager as you are about your new scooter. For me, it is a still up in the air. The Buddy Italia 150 seems very appealing, yet the Yamaha Vino seems like a very solid choice. I'm curious, how did you ultimately choose to purchase an Italia?

*MSF? Check : July 4th weekend. Will be painting Bonheur in the meantime.
*Insurance? Check : GEICO (my OH insures the MC on it)
*Gear? Check : picking up my mesh jacket & gloves tonight. Daisy decals for my helmet should be here Friday.
*Accessories? Check : Dealer will have windscreen, rear rack and top case installed before I pick it up.
*Seatcover? Check : have been emailing Crystal on choice of fabric.

I forgot about the gremlin bell and I have the Scooterworks catalog bookmarked...

*sigh*

My OH has a 1500cc cruiser that we take out every weekend come hades or high water. The thought of me on anything smaller than the 150cc was frightening. For my purposes and where we live, having that bit of extra to get me out of parking lots into oncoming or with the flow of traffic is of utmost importance. Out in my suburbia hades, Hummers and Expeditions rule the roads. I'm just a leetle Asian on a small scooter... The really loud horn was also a deciding factor...

Also, I'm vertically challenged. The Buddy requires no seat modification for me to flat foot the ground.

All around, it was a great choice for me.

Hey Bunny, I hope you are right about when you will be getting your scoot. My scoot has been on order from POC Scooters in Clevleland since June 3rd. They are one of Genuine Scooters biggest retailers and not once has he been able to tell me when it will arrive in Cleveland. He said he gets a three or four day notice once it arrives in Chicago. So far no one has called me from POC, so I am not sure how your dealer can give you a specific date. I hope for your sake he knows something. Hang in there. What more can one do.

No specific date...just the "There are five scooters coming in by the end of the month."

The end of the month is Monday. Ergo, five more days. Well, six if you consider they aren't open on Mondays...

I even went ahead and got the paint for Bonheur. So she will be ready for when I pass the MSF...

Speaking of...is there a feminine for Bonheur? Bonheure, maybe? Polianarchy? Anyone? Because I am pretty certain Bonheur will be a girl. I *am* putting daisies all over her, I don't wnat her to havean identity crisis or anything...

Since bonheur is a noun, I don't think there is a feminine form, just as there isn't a feminine form for mountain (le montange).

People really think a horn is just a horn, but at 139db's the dual-tone horn will knock your socks off...and get people's attention too.

Yep, knew that...bought one for my other half. And ruined the surprise I *was* going to get when I brought it up today. *sigh*

OTOH: I got my mesh jacket today!!!!!!!!!!! It was waiting for me when I got home tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!! It looks awesome, if I do say so myself.

It's a little bell that goes on the bottom of your bike. Myth has it that the bell's ringing scares the 'accident demons' away and protects you from crashes. BUT it has to be purchased by someone else and GIVEN to you for it's maximum powers to work.

It's at MC dealerships all over the place.
