Speaking of gearing up...
This morning on my way to work I noticed a MC cop ahead of me...he had on his helmet and gloves and boots. No jacket.
Getting on the highway. *sigh*

It's pretty common around here during the summer to see them with short sleeves and no jacket.
Or maybe it's an invisible mesh?

They also wear half lids which is curious to me.
But then again, motormen are some of the best riders out there. One department rents out the back parking lot of a local mall to do their periodic training in and if I see them there I stop to watch. It's pretty amazing what they can make those big Harley's do. I haven't gotten the guts to ask if I can take my Buddy on their course and have them show me a few things yet.

Well, MC cops do spend all day out riding, with few stops or breaks. I'm sure it's a sacrifice they make so they can make it through the day. FWIW, they are probably the best-trained and some of the most experienced riders on the road.

They are amazing, seriously. I've seen some guys turn their MONSTER bikes around in a smaller radius than I can do on Scootle.ericalm wrote:Well, MC cops do spend all day out riding, with few stops or breaks. And think about how many more controls they've got to handle while riding.
Radio, lights, donuts, clutch, brake, throttle, gun and donuts.
