Emergency Work

No, no, don't worry, I don't NEED it (watch that jinx me...) but I was curious...
My dealer is in San Francisco (hi Barry!) about 40 miles from me. If something happens to the scooter where it's simply unable to be ridden up to be fixed, do you folks have any suggestions for a "quick fix" alternative? See if another scooter dealer (albeit non-Genuine) can get it running enough to get to SF?
I'm trying to have an emergency plan in mind just in case.

rent a truck and have a set of tie downs. I don't want to void your warrenty.

AAA Plus RV works for me. They'll cheerfully haul it the 40 miles to your dealer. It's pretty good insurance to have if you wander on your scoot and it's not too spendy.

For the first year at least, the roadside assistance that comes with the buddy should be able to tow your bike to the dealer... at least thats what they did for a guy out here whose buddy wouldn't start.
Turned out he had the kill switch off

Use the roadside assistnace that is included with your Buddy! It is a lot less money than a AAA membership and you have already paid for it when you bought your Buddy! I am pretty sure that they will trannsport it 40 miles but you need to read the terms of the Roadside Service agreement to be sure (I think the limit is 50 miles).
MNBuddy - I had to use roadside assistance once.

They will transport it 40 miles, but it would cost upwards of $150 to do so, since they only cover a certain amount. I suppose it will work in an absolute emergency though, even though my wallet will need therapy afterwards!

You need to argue that with them. As I said get out the material they sent you and check the language. They tried to tell me that too when I first called but Once is rewferred to the provisions of the program I was towed at no cost to me at all.
Don't let some dumb customer servide rep BS you out of what you paid for.
Don't have unauthorized service done on your scooter that will possibly void your warranty.
