sleepy Buddy

Well, after neglecting my poor little Buddy for nearly three weeks, I finally managed to ride in to work today. Neither of us was overly excited to get started this morning! I had charged up the battery earlier in the week, but then it just sat some more  And it was pretty cool this morning, too, which I am sure didn't help anything.

Anyway, it took a number of attempts with the e-start before I heard the putt-putt that was music to my ears! The running in the first few minutes was pretty darn rough, and I thought it was going to poop out on me, but in the end my "Italian tune-up" seems to have done the trick!

Now the only sad thing is that after today's ride I am going out of town yet again, so won't be able to ride again until next Tuesday

Why is work always getting in the way of fun??

Work is overrated.

I know man. A bunch of the XYL (Cincinnati scooter club) are riding right now. It's 74F outside today.

And where am I?

At work!

I did ride in though.

True- mostly. Work was kind enough to send me to China recently (and basically subsidize my vacation), so I had better not complain too much!

And this weekend I'm going to San Diego, so it's not all bad.

I will complain freely, however, if they send me to Chicago this winter!

SD is a great scooter city! You should drive down, tow the Buddy and ride ride ride.

I wish! If I have time tonight, I will stop by scooterworks, though it depends on how quickly I get my rental car. Between work and visiting family, I won't have much time for scooter-based fun :(

I rode back and forth to work every day this week. Yesterday, it got up to 80 degrees F. This afternoon was tres windy and getting cool. Next week is supposed to be cooler, but we aren't expecting rain. I'll just pull on the long johns.

Now, all I'll have to do is order a windshield; the little one, I think.

Bah, I didn't have time to stop by the shop on Friday. Naturally I have plenty of time today, but they are closed. Bummer.

Sure is nice here in SD this weekend! 8)

To work and back, again, today. 8) My brother stopped by my desk to tell me his truck was kaput and to ask if I'd stop by in the morning for the rest of the week to give him a ride. :? I'll be driving the Cruiser until he gets that thing fixed. :( Might go riding in the evenings, though. :D

elm creek smith...why don't you let brother borrow your cruiser so you can keep scooting? is that a recipe for disaster?

Him drive my Cruiser? Did you miss the part about him killing his truck? No freakin' way! I've got the coolest car in the family and the coolest scooter. I'm not letting anyone mess with them. Heck, my wife doesn't even drive my Cruiser! (It's a 5 speed, and while she can shift for herself she doesn't like to.) Besides, it's building good karma for me.

good points, ecs. i somehow knew, even as i was suggesting it, that it was a foolish proposition. hope your karma keeps building  also hope you are scooting again really soon!
vitamin c....have you had plenty of time to keep your buddy happy this week? i know for my happiness i want (need!) to ride everyday, so hopefully your buddy is not feeling "sleepy" anymore.

Yes! :D This week I am finally well enough to leave the kleenex at home, so I've been riding all week! After nearly 3 weeks off it was a bit strange, but I quickly fell back into the groove. I haven't put gas in the car for almost two months now...
