Center Stand, Buddy doesn't want to dismount

Lately, when I try to take my Buddy off the center stand it seems to get stuck somewhere in the process. The bad thing is that it will roll around, and at some point I will hear that final click. It seems to be getting worse. Sometimes it is just a matter of rolling it forward a bit more than just off the stand. But sometimes I have to sit on it before it will make the sound.

Any one else experience this? Anything I should look for, be careful of?

Have you tried giving it a bit of lube? A shot of WD40 at the pivot on each side should help loosen things back up...

A brilliant idea... okay, I really should have thought of that one. I'll blame it on the full-time job/end of semester (grad school) stress.

Your Killing me! Don't use WD-40 for lubrication, thats not what it was made for! It will work for a bit and then gum up like no tomorrow. Use an actual lubricant (now get your mind out of the gutter! 8) ) a little white lithium grease or a shot of triflow, silicon etc.

What does WD-40 do?
WD-40 fulfills five basic functions:

1. CLEANS: WD-40 gets under dirt, grime and grease to clean. It also dissolves adhesives, allowing easy removal of labels, tape and excess bonding material.
2. DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture, it quickly dries out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits.
3. PENETRATES: WD-40 loosens rust-to-metal bonds and frees stuck, frozen or rusted metal parts.
4. LUBRICATES: WD-40's lubricating ingredients are widely dispersed and tenaciously held to all moving parts.
5. PROTECTS: WD-40 protects metal surfaces with corrosion-resistant ingredients to shield against moisture and other corrosive elements.
The others you listed will also work, but chances are good that most people have WD40 already available...

Its just so terrible for lubrication, especially where dirt and dust accumulate. I hve read here where someone uses it to install new grips. They slide on when its wet, stick like glue when dry. It was origionally made for water displacement (hence WD, and it took them 40 times to get that right! :P) It will work as a lubricant for a bit until it dries up. It's just my opinion that you are much better off using something else!

yeah, part of the problem with the stand in the first place is a little bit of build-up of road crud... maybe use the wd40 for cleaning it out well, then use some lube... the wd will probably make that road crud stick faster, and you will end up with the same sticky stand sooner than later...
