What size grip-lock? Targa or other brand?

Post by polianarchy »

Hiya, folks! I'm shopping around for an additional lock (in Philly, one can never be too careful). I like the one from New Enough shown in the link below, but I don't know what size grips the Buddy has. Please help! Thanks very much. :D

The fat, middle part of the grip is 1 7/8 inches.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that is my scooter.
Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
Yes, that is an NRA sticker on the fender.

The Grip Lock is adjustable from 1 1/8 " to 1 1/2".

I use the yellow grip lock and it works great with one insert. Easy to get on and off and easy to store. I like that its plastic so it doesn't scratch things up!

To me, plastic says, "Philly thieves, please break me!" But I like that it's bright yellow and thus highly visible. Hmmm. Thanks.

FYI ... The plastic is very hard and it has metal bars under it that prevent cutting etc.

hmmm purple might look good with your pinky :)

Hahaha, I think I like the red one best...matches my helmet & gloves! Now, I thought those were only available straight from New Zealand? I just saw the yellow one on the Lockitt.com (or whatever it's called) website. Hmmm!!!

I think that the brake lever would break wayyyyy before the lock. And if they want it that bad....well thats what insurance is for!

I have the yellow GripLock form lockitt.com. They didn't have colors when I got mine. :(
I love it. Super easy to use. Highly visible. Easy to store.
Highly recommended.

...hmmm. I could probably leave the keys in my scooter here in Cottonwood and nobody'd bother it.

Not really any universities...we DO have the local Cottonwood Public Library and Yavapai College (a 4-year college based in Prescott and Cottonwood).
