I can't take it anymore. After a week and a half of cold, wind, ice, and snow here in Oklahoma, today's high temp of 45 and full sunshine DEMANDS that I right The General. So I will.
Take that, Old Man Winter!

I rode mine to work today, a little chilly, but I can't wait till this afternoon. I'll tell you one thing, I was wide awake when I got to the office at 8:30! Gotta love the Mild Oklahoma Winters!

Same boat in Colorado, 19 degrees this morning and ice in parts, but at those temps it's not real slick... After four weeks in the garage I have finally made it out this week

Hi Richard, I'm Andy. You said you met my friend Joe...any idea where? Did you attend the Pandora Strikes Back rally last year? And if not, are you familiar with the OKC Curiosity Scooter Club?

Well, I thought I had met your friend, I didn't remember his name being Joe. Is he a photographer, cause he looks a lot like a guy I met when I worked at Epperson Photo a while back. As For any scooter rallys or clubs, this is the first 2 wheeler I have had in about 8 years, However, I am interested in finding people to ride with.

Ah, no, he's not a photographer. You can check out
OKC Curiosity Scooter Club for some info on our club. Aside from myself, there are at least 2 other Buddies that I regularly ride with us, so you'd be in good company.

I was finally able to ride to work on Friday. It was great! The weather was moderate and all I had to do was watch out for all the sand left on the roads.

when, when, when will the snow end? today we went hiking in the falling snow in our lovely Metroparks, but it was like reminising about a summer love. ..."remember when we took the Buddy's for ice cream....to the water fall...for BBQ in the valley"...ok you get the point. Yesterday in order to keep the fluids and joints running we drove them around the condo garage. so pathetic. I can live with the cold, sort of-but not the salt and ice. oh no.

I did a 90+ mile ride yesterday in 30's and 40's type of temperatures. I rode over to Prescott over 7050 ft. Mingus Mountain. Discovered there was ice on the road in the shadowed areas!

Did 40 miles on backroads today. Left Owasso headed north through Collinsville and ended up almost in Oologah. Had to stop just about at the turnback point to put my rain pants on over my jeans and long johns. The wind was getting a bit cold. By the time I got home, I was thoroughly done in. A cup of hot tea and a bowl of oatmeal, and I was still cold.
Maybe if the weather moderates just a little bit more.

The cold and snow currently has me beat.
First I got a sinus infection, which really put a crimp in my riding. Now winter has finally arrived in Cincinnati, with temps in the 12 to 14 range and intermittent snow showers and wind. The roads of my commute are a mess of salt and sand and snow and ice.
I did take the scooter out of the garage and ran it for a few minutes in my driveway yesterday, just because.
The rest of this week looks equally bad and then I head off to a week in Munich, so it will probably be a while before I ride again.
