To MODERATOR: Is there a problem with older postings?

Don't know if it's just me or not, but when I try to get to posts deeper than third or fourth page, they won't load and the screen flashes over and over, then I get an error message. Anybody else with this problem? Not my computer either, happens on two different ones.

me too

Try it now.

Google suspended our AdSense account yesterday, but won't say why. We were still serving up ads, and they were blank, apparently causing a momentary screen flash.

Of course, that might not be it at all...

I can't recreate it either (IE6).

What is the error message?

I can't believe you people are still running IE anything.

/Firefox all the way.

IE7 in general (and on Vista particularly) is excellent.

Hard to believe, I know.

It seems to be doing better today...it still flashes over and over for a bit (5 or 6 times) but then I finally get to the destination, happens on multi-page topics. The last couple of days it wouldn't resolve and then I'd get a time out message. If it happens again I will capture it and send to you.

Okay, I think I might know what was causing the problem. We had a similar problem reported some time ago on Modern Vespa, and I made a change there that seems to have fixed it. I believe the problem was with pages that had attachments (anything with a paper clip next to the subject). I made the same fix here just now, and I'm hoping that will do it.

Hit "Reload" on this page a few times to make sure the new CSS file is reloaded, and then go and take a look at multi-page threads or ones with attachments in them, and let me know either way.

Thanks for your help tracking this down...
