Vespa Portland is hosting a HUGE scooter block party!

It will be held at Vespa Portland's showroom on 23rd and Vaughn.

There will be a scooter scavenger hunt around downtown, a head to head "scoot off", bike demo rides, and many other events going on all day on August 22nd.

22nd is perfect. 29th is not so perfect. I'll have to call and find out more info; we-three Bethany area Buddy's would have a great time doing this.

Love the photo Ceci! I'll keep my eye out for you... I work at Tek in Beaverton, so not too far from the Bethany area. You guys used to have a GREAT Nestle desert store that I miss :(

Hey, is that photo the "Buddyfly" "LadyBud" and the third one with a cute name that I can't remember for the life of me? :)

The 3 of us 'tagged' ourselves with the following names and some stickers of representation:

Red 125cc - Laydbud (ladybugs)

Green Italia 150cc - Humminbbuddy (hummingbirds)

White 125cc/Me - Buddyfly (like a white butterfly)

We even have license plates with our Buddy-names on them! Here's the only pic of our rear ends anyone would want to see!

Ahh, I thought so. I rode with you on the Sauvie's Island run. I was the guy on the Tangerine Buddy that was all modded out. I was riding two up with my wife.

I remember you now! Yeah, you really have done good things to your ride. (I was talking about the buddy, your wife would have to further any 'other' conversation!).

Ciao!

Well, my first response was "CRAP! I cannot make it on the 22nd..." but the 29th might work just fine! I haven't been on any group rides or anything, I don't even know anyone else with a scooter!

Ladybud and Buddyfly -- I think I met you briefly at Vespa Portland the afternoon right before I rode out to my first Team Oregon class about a month ago? I had the new white buddy with black hardware. I remember your decorated scooters!

I'm planning on going to this. I just took my Vespa in for it's first service, and my Buddy is going in this Friday. WOW! The store is really changing it's look - half of the scooter showroom will now be a skate & board park adjacent to their skate and board showroom. This reduces the scooter square footage by a LOT, but, they are planning on updating the physical/visual marketing and assure us that every color of every style will be represented in a very visually-positive way. I can't wait to see it; that part may not be finished by this weekend, but it promises to be a good time for all.

I will probably stop by on Saturday. Won't have my new Buddy 150, but will be going right by there on our way to Sauvie Island for Kayaking.

Anyone have a schedule? I looked on the website, but did not see any thing.

I wonder if Heidi is still going to do this? I haven't seen any more information.

I haven't seen a 'schedule' yet; they are busily remodeling that skate park taking up half of what used to be scooters. Here's their number 503-222-3779. I'm taking Buddy in today for it's 1,500 mile service; I'll ask about a schedule and relay any info I get; but call them!
