2nd Annual Scoot Tour of New England - August 2, 2009

Sunday, August 2nd
9:00 AM
2nd Annual Scoot Tour of New England!

250 miles of beautifully scenic New England back roads, starting at Vespa Hartford, 161 Woodford Ave, Plainville CT and heading up through Western Massachusetts to our lunch time destination of Bennington, VT and back again!

Last year's group withstood downpours, fog, an oil leak, and bright sunny skies over the span of the ride, and lived to happily tell the tale! Ride with us on your 150cc scooter or larger (125cc is okay too, as long as it's a Buddy).

There may even be a free t-shirt and some BBQ waiting for you when you finish.

We had a nice meet & greet tonight at Vespa Hartford and talked about the route.

We're meeting at 8:30 am in the parking lot of Vespa Hartford (7:30 am for those who want to have breakfast at the restaurant across the street). Be sure to be there at 8:30 am with a full tank of gas and ready to go. People should pack rain gear (just in case).

Doug Day of Vespa Hartford has a nice route planned through the hills of CT into Western, MA and up into Vermont. Last year we had lunch at Peppermill's on Main Street. I'll find out if we're planning on going to the same spot this year and report back.

For more information you can visit the Vespa Hartford website at www.VespaHartford.com or www.ScooterCentrale.com

I can't decide weather I'm going or not. Social situations make me nervous.

It's mostly riding, more so than socializing. And the clientele of Scooter Centrale is a harmless, low key bunch, I swear!

It really is a gorgeous ride, and last year I felt great for having done it!
