Hell's Loop

MSILSF's Hell's Loop is the first event in which we are offering, and will hopefully be awarding, cash prises. This makes Hell's Loop a so-called "professional" motorsport event.

Can you write any of this event off your taxes? Possibly. Check out:
http://www.ehow.com/info_8657738_race-f ... tible.html Consult your tax preparer / CPA.

You can definitely deduct $9.90 for the charitable contribution MSILSF makes to the Wounded Warrior Project when you enter Hell's Loop. We send you the receipt from WWP. More importantly, WWP is a very noble cause.

We'd like to hear from any one planning to attend this event as a spectator or racer who has the ability to haul multiple scooters to the venue. For this event we're going to attempt to put riders and haulers in touch with each other. This could help haulers defray gasoline costs, or other travel expenses such as shared motel rooms. Thnx.

If only this event weren't being held when my daughter, whom I haven't seen in 4 years, will be visiting the states from her home in South Africa. Otherwise I would be so in for this.

Rally Mileage Increase

We've received a plethora of e-mail inquiring why the rally distance was increased from 311 to 375 miles, and the start changed from Baker to Barstow, CA. The answer is simple. We want to attract more SoCal riders:

Starbucks www.starbucks.com - 1620 E. Main Street, Barstow - (760) 255-1604
Starbucks - www.starbucks.com - 2854 Lenwood Road, Barstow -(760) 253-2549

Thus far we have riders coming from Illinois, Georgia, Arizona, and CA.

Wrong direction, but great pix of Old Trona Rd., between Trona and Red Mountain, CA: http://www.flickr.com/photos/matthigh/1 ... otostream/

Attention Vintage Shifters

The sole vintage shifter scoot entered in Hell's Loop in Class IV 200cc had a last minute change of plans and will not be competing. There's a magnificent custom engraved Italian marble trophy that'll be going to storage unless some one enteres and wins it! Entries for this class will be accepted at the venue. Any vintage shifter up to 200cc is eligible to enter. Info/details above and on the website: www.motorscooterlandspeedfederation.org.
