I stopped at Scooterworks this morning (Sat 4/27) just to hang out a bit and have a sweet roll (I brought em...I get to have one).

Anyways, I was looking over Erics ride provided by SW for tomorrows event.
I'll let him post up.....but it has a bit of history for the Stella afficiado's out there, me included.

Hoping for a good turnout.....weatherman still saying it should be a good day.....but....Chicago weather can be a bit tricky what with that big ole pond to the east.

Well, like I said....Chicago weather can be tricky.
It is 7:00 A.M. in N.E. Illinois and it did rain last night.
Rather gray morning...streets are drying, sloooooooly, and the weather is calling for things to dry out and stay in the mid-sixties.
We'll see.........

Last weekend was so great I'm just now catching up!

SO, I didn't make it to Lake Shore for the break. I was riding the first prototype Stella 2T, which I loved. Great color, big Mikuni carb. Quick! It's also got very low miles and has been sitting around for a long time.

About halfway to Lake Shore, it started sputtering and eventually stalling. It was a little embarrassing as I was pulling over to kickstart it, popping the clutch to start it or having to feed it a lot of gas at stops to keep it going. Eventually, it stalled and wouldn't restart. Most likely a clogged jet or carb issue from not being ridden. It was an honor to ride it as long as I could!

Got a ride back to Scooterworks with the support truck. MBer PIStaker (Mike) came to get me and we got coffee and hung out until heading for the lunch spot. It all worked out and I got to spend more time with a friend!

Great weekend all around.

I LOVE Chicago and told one friend I'd have to return in the winter to keep me from becoming too charmed by it!
