Please join us for our FIRST annual Scoot Tour of Southern New England!
ciao-ciao,
Doug & the Scooter Centrale crew
Ride beginning and ending at...
161 Woodford Ave
Plainville, Connecticut 06062
Saturday, August 2, 2008
8:00 a.m.
This ride will be about 250 miles, round trip!
Friday, August 1, 7:30 p.m.
Meet-n-Greet at a local watering hole. We will meet here at the shop and then head right down the road to...
J. Timothy's Taverne
143 New Britain Ave.
Plainville, CT
Saturday, August 2nd, 8 a.m.
Meet for continental breakfast at Scooter Centrale, then head for the open road through Massachusetts and Southern Vermont, stopping for a proper feeding in Bennington, VT. While we'll be sticking to the back roads, it is a ride designed for 150s and above (again, we count the Buddy 125 as a 150!).
A chase vehicle will follow the crew picking up dropped parts and helping out ailing scoots.
We'll fire up the grill around 6:00 p.m. so that when participants return, they will be greeted with food and a free commemorative T-shirt. Folks who are not up to the ride (work? scoot in pieces in your living room? can't get a babysitter?) are invited to welcome back the adventurous.

It sounds like a great route. I would love to participate but I have to go pick up a scoot on Saturday. I hope you have great weather, fabulous food, and smooth roads!

hey brape, you should come! i've never done group rides or huge treks either, but doug (shop owner) said he is just going to go speed limit, so even if some members decide to fly down the roads, there will always be a core group going speed limit. with frequent stops for rest/gas/hydration.
i mean, honestly, i have no idea what i am getting myself into, but there is a first time for everything. and i say if other people can handle it, so can i!
