New 2t Stella!!

Post by Blackshirt »

Bought a brand new 2009 Stella 2t today and will be delivered tomorrow. Much thanks to the people on this board and over at StellaSpeed for all the reviews and discussion that helped me make up my mind on what kind of scooter I wanted. Pics to come tomorrow when she's in my garage.

Gotta love the 2T -- Don't forget the pics when you stop riding for a few mins.
If you choose not to decide -- you still have made a choice.

Just got a new 2 stroke for my wife as a present for completing her Chemo. She is having so much fun with it I went and found a used buddy for myself to ride around with her. Now we are the "cute young scooter couple" in our neighborhood.

If I knew we would have had this much fun I would have gotten one years ago.

Congrats to you both.

Scooters have a way of multiplying when one member of a couple gets one. :)

Sitting in my garage. Rode her to school for the first time today. Never realized how bumpy those roads really are!

And as foretold by everyone on this board, got asked about her while I was taking my helmet off.

Sounds super cool - picked a 2009 red 2t Stella back in April myself. She's worlds apart from riding the buddy Blackjack.

Enjoy!

Stella looks awesome, as expected. Do I see some Michelin tires on the new scoot?

No, those are the stock ones. I've got some Continental whitewalls on order.

While I'm asking, can anyone tell me what the strap on the seat is there to accomplish other than irritating my rear end as I'm sitting on it?

In my early years of riding.. that strap is used for the passenger to hang like hell onto IF they dont want to wrap their arms around your waist.
As a passenger, I used it many many time too..It gives much confidence to the passenger who fears that they will fall off the back if no sissy bar is there..

Today I use the strap to get my scoot onto the stand when Im standing on the battery side of my bike.
right hand under the strap... left hand on the clutch side handlebat & right foot on the stand boot... THEN just lift 'UP' on the strap...
BAM bike is up on the stand easy
good luck
