I see that Scooterworks has a sale on their front racks but I'm just curious to know how useful they are, and if those black rubber cups leave marks on the front of your Stella.

I have one on my Stella 4T. It's only been on a few months, and I haven't checked, so I don't know if the cups have marked the paint.
I've had one on my kitted Vespa LX150 for over three years now, though, with no marring of the paint. I have this scoot set up for long-range touring, and routinely load up both racks with luggage for long trips. It also gets a lot of use for grocery and beer runs, and I often carry a 12-pack of longnecks on it.
Some folks put a disc of protective plastic film under the suction cups, but I think the real secret is a good, snug installation of the rack so that it doesn't move independently of the legshield over bumps.
I ran one for years on my Stella, and plan to get another one for my P200. In short: they are AWESOME!! And for several reasons:
-Racks are always good when you need to move stuff
-In my opinion, P-series bikes seem to ride BETTER with extra weight over the front wheels as opposed to the back.
-More stuff to clamp accessories to if you're into the mod look
-You can actually keep an eye on your cargo as you ride along
The version I had clamped to the front legshield with small tension clips, but they also make racks with screw down clamps that affix to the trim as well as the suction cups. Well worth the investment and I personally prefer them over a rear rack as far as looks

OK Dave, you got me with the 12-pack so I ordered one last night. I also realized yesterday after my wife and I went for a late night scoot to the grocery store that I have virtually no storage space when she's onboard, and she often seems to need things when we're out and about.
I’m waiting for the time when she finds something large at a yard sale that she feels we must have; now that should be interesting.

^^^ I"ve brought home some interesting things on a bike before...Sadly no pictures, but how about a kitchen chair? THAT was tough. an AC unit ( That was easy I was alone, so bungees and backseat)...I had a friend break the limit though
He bought a Tomos moped at a yard sale and we put it on the back of his GS850 Suzuki...Took it home that was 40+ miles!
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?
OK, I got the front rack and I like it a lot. I just hope the black rubber suckers don't harm the paint.
