New pipe for the 4T already?!!?

Post by Lovelandstella »

Why have we not been talking about this?
Or, if somebody else mentioned it already, we should talk about it some more!
Mr. Philip McCaleb, via Twitter wrote:stella four stroke pipe tested and dyno'd..pretty good gains and really neat sound. "gentlemen, start your VRRRROOOOOM engines!"
Where is it from? (I guess scooterworks, since Big Phil was talking about it)
When is it available?
how much will it cost?
will it be cool?
does anyone have any information on it?
does anyone have any guesses on it?
are there any articles, photos, video, or even audio clips that I haven't found on the "interweb" yet? (FYI, this tweet is all I got)

Anything else?
Let have fun! Let the Speculation begin!

and importantly, what other mods/adjustments will installing the pipe be required? More air from the filter and carb upjetting?

I wonder if Genuine's warranty policy is remaining the same with the year extension and if there will be any dealer wiggle room for honoring mild mods.

If Philip's talking about it, it's probably from Prima. There may be several pipes available soon. I've heard others are working on pipes, too.

See the warranty FAQ for how this affects mods.

If it doesn't void the warranty I'd be all over it! I want them to hear me coming!

It will void the warranty on the exhaust system and in the instance of any problems in which the use of the pipe may have been a cause or contributed.

TSR sells quite a bit in the UK. I've tried contacting them about accessories in the past and have received no replies. Darnit.

There also seems to be a carb as well. I'm curious, anybody tried these yet together?

I did buy and install that carb. .. But went with the Polini pipe instead.. Runs real well now that I got the carb dialed in.
