Broken Glovebox Lock

I tried to lock the glovebox and noticed that my lock is broken. The little metal piece that moves up and locks when you turn the key is broken. I was able to find this part online...it's like $4. What I can't seem to figure out is how to remove it and put in the new one. Has anyone changed one of these? do you know if I can just swap out part of the lock or do I need the entire locking mechanism?
