Neutral light burned out

So after 70ish miles on the 2012 Stella, the neutral light is either burned out or broke. Either way, how do I replace it? Does the entire instrument cluster cover pop off, or unscrew?

Take it to the dealer if you can. I believe you have to remove the headset cover and get to the bulb from behind the speedo.

This is correct. It's a tiny bulb that costs less than a dollar but if you don't know your way around the headset it can be a pain, this is what your warranty is there for!

Unfortunately there are zero Genuine dealers on this island, I brought the scooter from Florida. I did ask the Genuine folks about warranty repairs on island but never recieved a response from them.

ah that sucks!

But yeah it's a really cheap part and getting to it is fairly easy, just remove the headset and access the panel from the back of it.

As soon as you pop the headset take a few photos. They will be helpful in case a wire or two pops off while you're getting to the neutral bulb.

I usually take a few photos and draw a diagram.

First.... check to see if the wire came off or loose from the sending unit.
See the ONLY wire going into the shift mechanism down back next to your dip stick..
Wiggle it first to make sure its in there and check for your netural light..

Good advice and nce easy repair. Yep I should have thought of it. My only excuse is that the only thing I have done with a neutral switch is plug the hole. Heck...I don't even do turn signals!

I found I had to crimp the spade clip a bit to keep it from coming off on a 2005 Stella. Again, India quality

Easy, but not that easy.
The spade connector is buried in a connection for the shroud that keeps it from getting wet. It's hard to see where you're actually poking that wire when you're trying to reinsert it.
(It was probably hard for the folks in India to see it too - thus the problem)
You have to make sure that the spade connector is actually inserted into it's intended connector. To accomplish this you'll have to lie on your side and gaze directly into the center of the white plastic surround, make sure the spade connector on the wire is inserted into the connector, not along side, above or below the connector, and then replace the boot.
Once done this seems to solve the problem.
