One of the first things I wanted to do when I got my Stella 4T was split the chassis—just because I could. But every time I thought about doing it, I'd think of how much work it would take to do it considering I'd just be doing it for the sake of doing it.
The Service Manual has a pretty good step-by-step for doing it.
