Saddle Bags

Has any one used or tried to use saddlebags on their Stella? I have a set
that fit under the seat and hang down on either side. Only problem that I can see might be that the RH bag covers the cowl air intake for the engine. What
say ye????

I doubt that air intake is anything more than decorative considering the 2T don't have it and they run just fine!

I suspect that you are right. The 4T is a different motor as I understand
it but the position of the bag does not totally block the vents and when using
this set on my other scoots I found that the front of the bag tends to rise
away from the body a bit while in motion.

if you are overly concerned about it you could always build in a scoop. they used to make them for the original Vespa GS back in the 60's there's one for sale on Scoot.net for BIG money. though I bet you could make something just as functional for cheap.

Side lined the saddle bags and went for another 36 can cooler from WallyWorld. Fabric covered, relatively water proof, hard shell inside.
Already had one mounted on my back rack, put this one on the seat
backed up to the one on the rack. Have a smaller one on the front rack.
No more storage problems and the newest one makes a great back rest.
Bungie cords used for tie downs can be replaced easily when worn. The
coolers can be found in the camping section of WW. Big ones cost $20.00,
small one cost $7.00. Have a similar setup on my R9. Total investment for
noth rigs under $100.00. And yes, I am cheap!!!
