Hi is the cdi unit restricted to any particular limit on the lml 2t 4 speed 2010 model and if so what would be a good one to replace it with when I upgrade to a larger cylinder.

No limit if memory serves. It's the factory jetting that holds them back in stock form. Upjet, put a pipe on them, and they wake right up.
