what mods do you have on your stella?
if you have any "fast" mods, what are they? what was your fastest speed? did they make a difference?

Sito+ is probably the cheapest performance gain you can get. Its about $90 and requires re-jetting, but you get rid of the restrictive stock exhaust and gain a couple MPH on the top end. Its more evident in the acceleration though than top speed gains.
I have one on my P200, its a good all around exhaust for a daily rider.
not anything against MB, but for Stella performance upgrades, the whole range of mods have been discussed adnauseum over at Stellaspeed...

Thank you, thank you. I've been trying to convince the the administrator of this fact for some time now. They should just do away with this section and leave it to the buddy only.monza wrote: not anything against MB, but for Stella performance upgrades, the whole range of mods have been discussed adnauseum over at Stellaspeed...

the first thing I did was put on a polini 177 kit ,simonni pipe, & mazzy race cut crank , boyseen reeds & up jetted got to almost 70 mph
then got a 24/24 g delltoro carb (stock is 20/20)
Uni filter better breathing
70 mph
matched my cases to my polini 70+ & a hell of alot quicker
lost the auto lube premix only
upgeared my clutch from the 21 tooth to the 22 tooth
that where Im at now still more to come
just cant turn a wrench yet hand surgurey in jan/feb
always check your tire rating the faster ya go stock are only rated for something like 60 mph I think
the usual is deblue your stock filter & upjet your carb
then pipe, kit, crank, carb or so the list can go on & on

nearly all tires available in the US for Stella/P (3.5x10) are rated 62mph. Thats not to say they will blow up at 63mph, but are more likely to fail at speeds above that.vegetable wrote: stock are only rated for something like 60 mph I think
The only tires available in the US rated higher are the SAVA (Goodyear) MC18 & MC20 at 95mph.

I don't mean to be a dick, but have you ever posted a basic question on Stella speed or had a silly idea?UXO wrote:Thank you, thank you. I like Stella speed for the info, but the vibe there is very asshole elitist.
Which is why I asked eric to consider adding this forum. It's by hurting anything and you have no valid complaints.

Yes, there is an elitist attitude from alot of the posters over at Stellaspeed. You have to roll with it. ONce they see that you arnt going to get discouraged they will back off. Dont show weakness
I like it there. A ton of information is available. Just make sure you USE THE SEARCH function before posting, not doing so will invite hazing and such

Can you elaborate? I'm short and can't do the Stella stand yet. (I'm hoping with practice and experimentation I'll figure out a way to do it.)Shane Wilson wrote:I forgot to mention that the best mod I've done is switching to the P200 center stand.

The P centerstand is shorter. For some people, a side stand is a good alternative to a centerstand...etak wrote:Can you elaborate? I'm short and can't do the Stella stand yet. it's less about the stand height for me and more about it having the thing on the side to push down on with your foot to get it on the stand.

Thanks. Do you have to buy the brackets or can you use the ones already on the Stella?Shane Wilson wrote:it's less about the stand height for me and more about it having the thing on the side to push down on with your foot to get it on the stand.

no. the only time you notice the increased weight on the right is when at a stop light. you get used to it pretty quick.gearhead wrote:interesting. with the higher speeds, is it a problem regarding the stella wanting to go to the right due to the engine being on that side?

leg shield mirrors
OOPS - This was meant to be a new post....
First I tried bar end mirrors, They worked great on the Buddy, But Stella- total failure!
( Stella does not have typical handle bars )
So I ordered a leg shield mirror from scooter works, Has any one installed these on a Stella?
They seem to kinda Sorta fit-ish, A fit that makes me feel like the mirrors were made for completely different scoot.
Do I need to trim that extra rubber thingy for a good fit?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
