The super-awesome Xena alarmed disc lock does not fit the Stella disc brake. I also have the NY Noose from Kryptonite, but I'm unsure where to loop the chain.
I don't have a stella, but I use the grip-lock for quick stops... I think it works great. At first I removed the rubber inside - but you can just slide it off that way, comes with 2 sizes of rubber inserts... here is a pic. I also use a kryptonite lock will attach pic as well

If I locked my Stella, which I don't, I'd depress the brake, and then put an alarm type lock on it under the floorboard. I don't because I'd forget and tear the bike apart trying to yank it off the center stand while bitching about the inconsiderate jerk who hasn't come outside to turn off their alarm.
I have heard of people locking their rear brake beneath the floorboard. I haven't seen that put into practice, though, so I have no freaking idea where I would attach the lock.
I'll get the dudes at the shop to help me out today after work. I gotta figure out how to keep my seat from sticking shut! There's a trick to it, I'm sure, or an adjustment to be made. Why I always pick Tuesdays (their busiest day other than Saturday) to pester 'em, I'll never know. Sigh. And I don't even have any brownies prepared!
I also recommend keeping it in gear when you park. That saved my P from getting stolen from the backyard (pre-garage). I looked out my bedroom window one morning and the P was on its side in the yard...damn fools couldn't figure out that a scoot in gear doesn't push.
Another option beyond locking is to ensure there is no way to turn the fuel on.
One of my online scooter friends put a simple fuel cut off switch under the cowl at the fuel line where it goes into the carb. He turns that off, then the lock on the seat keeps the cowl from being removed and therefore it cannot be turned back on unless the key is in hand to unlock the seat.
If they pick up the scoot, this will not do anything for you, but if they try to ride it off after somehow getting it started, they will be screwed.
Has anyone ever fashioned a noose style lock like the one above by simply using two lock mechanisms? Any draw backs? I have a chain that doesn't have the noose loop.
Just wondering how many folks use one of these methods to lock up their Stella 4T? Since the disc locks don't work on the 4T I guess a noose chain locked around the front fork or rear brake pedal is the only real option available. Anyone have any problems with either of these methods or are there other better ways of locking up your Stella’s.
Fortunately I have a garage, but for those times when I want to take my scooter babe wife out on the town at night for a nice dinner or a little coffee and dessert, I’d like to know my other babe Stella is safe outside away from home.
I'm thinking about getting the Xena noose style chain XCH10MM, and one of their Bullett Alarm locks XUL102.

I went through all the difficulties of how best to secure my Stella. The best option, in my opinion, is chaining her to something that won't move. It only takes a pickup truck and two guys so lift her into the bed of the truck and zoom off. Anymore, I try to not to park her in dicey or isolated locations......tough issue.

I know it's not a Stella, but I've had pretty good success with the 'thick' Prima cable lock wrapped around a fixed object, then around the entire floorboard of my Buddy. As near as I can tell, there's not enough slack to get the lock past either the front or rear wheel.
If I switched to a chain, I'd probably do the same stunt, but with a second padlock to noose the loop around the floorboard.

People lock their Stella? That is nonsense! haha. I don't lock mine. I hate taking that massive chain. It weighs a crap load. Though I do lock the Stella when parked in the crappy DC areas.
Maybe I'm not visualizing it properly. Are y'all saying that a disc lock (whether it's Xena, Trimax, or others) won't go through the holes in the disc? Is it that the disc is too close to the rim, or what? I have a 5mm pin Trimax which works fine on the Buddy, but I can't tell from Poli's picture above whether it would fit into those Stella disc holes.
If it's a question of hole size rather than fitting the lock around it, I imagine a machine shop could bore and countersink a few of the holes out to > 5mm.

I purchased one of these since the Xena disc locks don't work on the Stella. I'll either hook it to the depressed brake or to the front fork.
But be warned, it is one beast of a lock. I also have the Xena moose chain which I'll carry when I'm out on the town in the evening and have to park in and area that I may not feel that comfortable with.
