lights dimming

When I turn on my turn signals, I notice that other lights [brake, indicator] dim. Is that normal?

It's normal for mine but the battery is dead

Yep, your battery my be either dying or dead. It should be minimized if your battery is in top shape, or you can set your idle a little higher. Better to check the battery first though.

If you have a voltmeter check the potential on the terminals while the engine is off, should be around 12v.
