I would like to have a WHITE Stella to go along with my Italia.

220 scooters does not sound like very many. They will probably want more money than I'm willing to spend. I did just get a nice raise though. We'll see.

We anxiously await the arrival of the Stella back to our showroom. While there are some anticipated new color choices, I don't believe white will be one of them.

I've heard it from enough different sources that I now believe it. Price is reputed to be in the $3500 range.

If one of the new colors makes a big impression, I just may need to have one. :D

And can we get them in California?!
I asked my dealer about them last night at the ride to the cemetery screening. He pretty much confirmed it and said if they came into the US, they'd pass California requirements because the federal regs have been updated to match the state's.

Well, now I need to pick a color. And make room in the garage!

Can you provide a source for this news?

Sorry, Eric, I can't...it's unofficial news, but it was delivered with high authority. Then confirmed at two other sources.

Speaking of Stellas. So this is a Buddy site and there is a Blur discussion group and a Black Cat discussion group but how come no Stella discussion group?

A few reasons. First, a Stella group already exists: stellaspeed.com.
Second, the Stella is, at heart, a P-series Vespa. So most of the mechanical and other issues pertinent to the Stella are covered in various forums and sites for those scoots.
When Genuine introduced the new line of automatic scooters this was the first time any of these models had been widely available in the US. Jess (admin) and others at Modern Vespa were very enthusiastic about these—the Buddy in particular. The Stella was no longer being produced by then. So here we are!

From what I heard (yeah. more unconfirmed rumor), if new ones are coming into the US at all then they'll meet CARB requirements because the Federal emissions requirements are now the same as CA's.

This will likely be a carbeurated—not direct injection—engine. But somehow a little cleaner.

According to Scooterscoop, this has been confirmed:

Not that I doubt Keys! I worked in journalism too long—always looking for a named source or confirmation. Plus, there have been a lot of credible rumors swirling around about this...

This is great news. I hope they bring back the Stella Fireball, I could so go for one.

Right now I don't have the funds for another scoot. So looks like I'll have to hang out on the fence again.
