Stella 4T Seats?

Post by Tom »

Any options on changing these? I am really not partial to the brown seat and feel like it looks a little overstuffed.

Has anybody replaced them yet?

You can get the stock seat recovered by any decent upholstery shop.

Local shops can upholster your seat for cheap. And you will have a huge selection of materials to choose from, that you can see and touch.

Pirate's great for custom jobs but as desmolicious said, for a simple re-cover most local shops can do it easily.

I think covers for most PX series and Stella 2Ts should fit. Lots of different options for these online.

Replacing the whole seat is a different matter and will usually require some customization to make room for the evap system and tank.

Hey Tom,
Did you ever do anything about your seat? I also have a 4T and am looking to change from brown to black, and was wondering how much the recovering would cost.

Thanks!

I've seen some awesome work from Cheeky Seats, aka http://scooterseatcovers.net/ . They're an MB sponsor, but I wouldn't plug them if I hadn't seen a really nice cover at a group ride. Covers, but they look upholstered! I didn't notice until I was up very close. Didn't know it was a Cheeky Seat cover until I asked.

I'm getting two once I figure out what I want for each scooter!

No problem, I don't know everyone by their handles yet either. Eric's recommendation looks pretty great, but I think I learned so much on my last DIY effort that I will always make my own. They aren't that hard, though if doing it isn't actually also fun for you, DIY is NOT the way to go. Probably way more cost effective to just buy one. I'm one of those who wants to know how to do everything..
