Hi all,

Thought I would do the right thing and introduce myself.
My name is Tipper and I live in England. I have both a 2T and a 4T LML star and have been riding LML scooters for about 6 years.

I thought I would join up here as there seem to be some good discussions about the 4T scooters.

Welcome. I spent a year in the U.K. and had soooo much fun and wished I could stay. Your 2t looks good btw. I want a Star! (Stella over here).

Welcome! I occasionally lurk over on the LML club site and post under this name.

Since you own both, what are your impressions of the 2T vs 4T?

There are a couple of videos here of my 2t and 4t on the same route with GPS speeds.

The 4T feels much more solid than the 2T, I can cruise at 60mph all day without it sounding and feeling like the engine is going to explode at any second.

The power is delivered a lot smoother with the 4t. The 2T tries to rip itself from out of my hands when I open the throttle where as the 4T pulls smoothly and consistently through the rev range.

I managed 4000 miles on my 2T with no real problems until my crank followed the LML tradition and decided it would be better in lots of little pieces taking the piston with it and meaning the engine had to be rebuilt.

I have covered just under 2000 miles on my 4T now and have had no problems at all. I guess only time will tell, but there is a guy over on the LMLOCGB forum who has covered around 15,000 miles on his 4T with no major problems.

Tipper,

I watched your vids and picked up on the fact your turn signal switch is on the left.......over on this side of the pond they are on the right.....over here, the left switchs are high beam and horn......I really dislike it since it is opposite my nine other machines.

I then can assume your high beam/horn/start/kill switch is on the right.
Are there any other functions on the right, and, regarding the left side switch....is it turn signal only?

Hi Rob,

On the right there is the electric start,horn,main/dipped beam switch and the main headlight/running light switch . We dont have a kill switch over here we use this futuristic thing called a key.

On the left we have the indicator rocker switch left/right.

Haven't had a chance to play my uke for a while,work has been a bit full on and I am having to move house twice this month.
I picked it up pretty quickly though, just trying to master that elusive E chord !

Yep the scoot is running strong these days,
I just passed the 10,000 mile mark

Yea that E chord is a real stinker I pretty much avoid it.

Its the album art work from the sleeve of jeff Wayne's musical version of war of the works,which I also have tattooed under the skin of my entire right arm !

I can't remember the site I used to get them done,I will try and find a link or you.
