Launching.
What is the best way to get off the line quickly? 1st quick into 2nd? or 2nd with a good bit of throttle?

Coasting
If I let off the throttle and coast downhill, does the engine still use gas? Is it more fuel efficient to clutch-in, or to just throttle off?

also if i want to be lazy, do i really need 1st and 3rd?

With the ratio's we have I don't see any benefit to skipping gears. I shift 1-4 winding through each gear.

With my Kit it doesn't take too long to do so either :)

Yes the engine still uses gas when coasting downhill, You need it to do so since your crank is lubricated by the fuel it gets. I don't recommend coasting downhill with the clutch in as it'll heat up, Just keep the throttle open a little and brake as needed.
