My mate has an LML 200 4T and it has been running perfectly for the 3000 miles he has been riding it.
But he let me have a go on it the other day and I noticed something a bit weird. When you pull away from a stop there is a slight clunk and a jolt and it sounds like something in the engine is engaging the scooter then pulls away as normal.
He said it had been doing this since day one and he just thought it was normal. Do any of you other 200 or any 4T owners have a similar clunk ?
If not do you have any idea what it could be ?
Bit of a clunk.

It could be that although I had a worn cruciform on my old 2t which meant it kept slipping out of second and this is a totally different feeling and sound.
Im trying to find an exploded diagram of the 4T engine so I can work out what could possibly be making the noise. Im not even sure if the 4T has the same cruciform set up as the 2T.

similar problems?
I get a clunk when selecting 1 st from neutral at a stand still. This clunk is not so strong when i select first whilst rolling forward a little.
Its also super easy to pop out of 2nd into neutral any time...
Is this what you are experiencing?
Thanks

Perfectly normal. You even here it when motorcycles pop into first.jungle tim wrote:I get a clunk when selecting 1 st from neutral at a stand still. This clunk is not so strong when i select first whilst rolling forward a little.
That's just a matter of having the cables adjusted to prevent this. After adjustment, the shifting should be crisp, with each gear distinct and little slippage between them. Over time, they'll loosen again. Newer cables may need more frequent adjustment because they're tight and haven't stretched out yet.jungle tim wrote:Its also super easy to pop out of 2nd into neutral any time...
