I believe the 150's (both 2t and 4t) are exactly the same. They are manufactured by LML but marketed by Genuine Scooter Company as the Stella in the US and Canada, but I believe virtually everywhere else they are sold directly by LML as the Star. Some markets get a 200 cc version, but in North America they are all 150's. There are also some equipment differences between markets (there is an automatic transmission version in Europe for example).

Also, some colors are different. Your Star is a color that I don't think we ever got in the US. In any case, there are a few other people on here I have seen from outside North America with Stars, so welcome! :D

The problem with vespa is that they are pricing themselves out of the market. They have shifted from a low cost vehicle to a luxury item. That is why the chinese scoots and LML is gaining more of the market. True you get a quality product from Vespa. But for what it is, you'll do just as good with a Stella/Star for half the price. I say be unique and go LML in a land full of Vespas if it will save money.

I don't see a lot of Stellas here- I think with the hills we have most people want an automatic scooter, and I can't say I blame them. It takes a committed scooterist to ride a shifty in this city (although there is definitely a thriving vintage scooter scene). Also, only recently with the advent of the 4t has Genuine/LML been able to sell the Stella in California. And yes, there are many, many Vespas. I know at least 6 people who have LX150's.

Scootheart, your LML Star is beautiful! I just found out a bit ago that LML made a 200cc version of the Star and I would love to see it here in the US (as an LML or a Genuine Stella).
Don't feel strange having an LML in a land full of Vespas; feel like you know something that they don't  .
You have a beautiful and reliable bike in your Star.

Do you know if they come in black?
.::I know the voices in my head aren't real, but man do they come up with some great ideas::.
