Anyone interested in a trade? 2012 Stella 4T- 160 miles !

Post by headhunterfrank »

Dealer convinced me to buy the slate blue scooter but I am not happy with it, interested in trading for another color. I'm thinking the paint job would be more expensive besides there might be someone who really likes the blue one. I have the title in hand.

My Stella is basically new, has 160 miles and has black racing stripes.

I'm interested in any other color except red. I'm open to any vintage looking scooter as long as it is manual - including vespa px models and 2 stroke stellas. Not too picky regarding year, miles, ideally not too high obviously. I am open to trading out of state as well. PM me for more details and pictures.

Thanks!

Odd, but colors tend to grow on you-

I seems odd to me now, but when I got my orange Stella, I thought about painting it in black plasti-dip with some racing stripes. After browsing the TMZ website one morning, I even checked the price of stripping off the paint and finding a place to chrome it up like Justin Beiber's now wrecked Fisker (lol! expensive!). But after a while, and its hard to explain how this happened - I started to REALLY like orange, and orange scooters in particular. I don't mean a little bit. A lot. Since I got my orange scooters, I've noticed there are so many beautiful orange things in the world - not just my Stella and Buddy. The orange of the Buddy is exciting, but I think the blue is very classy and and closer to what I imagine was an original Italian color. If I didn't think Orange was safer, I would not at all mind riding blue. Maybe as you ride your Stella more, you will start to associate the pleasure of riding with the color Slate Blue? My advice is to give it more time - there had to be something that made you pick her and bring her home in the first place. Like a kitten you adopt at the park, or a beautiful person one chances to know or meet, its the little imperfections and idiosyncrasies that make up true beauty, and first glances rarely reveal the whole picture. 160 miles on your Stella seems like a first date to me. Go out again, and see if you don't forget about the color, and just start to enjoy the company. If it does not work out, there is always your friendly neighborhood Fisker painter :)

The next Karate belt is green, then slate blue. What about my color coordination then! What will I do? At least there is a brown belt and then finally black which goes with everything...lol

I personally think that the two-tone Stellas are the best looking of them all - and appear very retro. I doubt it would be all that expensive to have some panels sprayed in a contrasting color, then you'd have the best looking Stella in town  .

(seems counter productive to trade a new 4T for an older 2T for no other reason than color - just my opinion of course)

I agree. When I ordered my blue/creme two tone, there was a question as to whether there were any left. My second choice was to get a one color Stella and have the cowls, horncast, and glovebox painted.

Since then, I have come across chrome horncasts, cowls and headsets, that are chromed, or painted with the British Union Jack. Cool options if you ask me.

Well what do you know? You guys were absolutely right. I'm really liking her now after getting some chrome and a couple other things added. Check her out! She's a keeper.

Always fascinating to see how a few splashes of chrome change a colors personality.
Yours looks great!

Wow Frank, that IS a keeper! I'm liking the rear 3-n-1 rack too. That's basically what I'll be looking to do to mine when I get one, except I'm going to get a two piece seat and have it covered in white for that 60's look!

The bungee is only being used as an accessory and to tie things down when needed.
