Has anyone tried to fit a 3.50 x 10" on a Stella 4T as opposed to a 90/90. I am looking at the Michelin S1 and would like the slightly bigger tire if possible.

a search for 3.5x10 Stella4t returns a lot of hits saying they don't fit the rear on a stella 4T so I am going to assume this is the case across the line.

I rock the Prima 3.5x10 white walls on my Stella 4T front and rear with no problems. I added them about 1300 miles ago.

OK. Yet when I convert 90mm to inches it's actually bigger than 3.5in. eg, 90 millimeters=3.54330709 inches
. Yet the 90/90 seem to fit. I wonder if it's the brand of tire? Maybe one with a ridge running around the sidewall that you might find on a low profile tire. I seem to remember reading about some tires rubbing on the rear shock bolt. Well lets see if some one gets back that might have mounted the Michelin S1's.

Thanks Socrates, I believe they have a fairly smooth sidewall to them. I'll search out a pic and compare them to the S1.

My 4T came stock with the 3.5 x 10s...

I have 3.5x10 Pirelli SL26s on mine.

I thought the stock size was 3.5x10. The Savas that came on my Stella were definitely 3.5x10. I have heard that the Primas will rub, so it definitely depends on the tire. I have the Heidenau K47 on mine, 3.5x10, with no issues. You have to jack it up pretty high to get the rear wheel off, but no rubbing. Good luck

Magnato, why the K47's and not, say the K61

I have Dunlop 3.5 x 10s on mine. I know my dealer swapped these in from whatever came to his shop stock, but they'll definitely fit.

I switched over to synthetic today and went for a ride. On the way back stopped in at the scooter shop to see what it will cost for the michelin s81's and was told that there are some left but they are not making them any more. I think I'll keep reading up for something else just in case there all gone when I'm ready to buy. Out here you need a good rain tire as it rains a lot during the year.

So far I like them. They definitely make for a confident ride. The only downside I have heard is that they dont last very long. I have about 600 miles on them so far so I dont yet know how long they will last.

I went with the K47 because Stella is what I ride to work everyday, rain or shine. It's not a long ride, but I saw a guy go down on a bike once in the rain when he was turning onto a street and he definitely broke his collar bone. It looked gnarly. So, I figure, better safe than sorry. Also, I talked to Tipper here in the forum and he said they're great. I really like them and glad I chose them.

After reading up I decided to go for Schwalbe Paceman tires. Now I have to find a local dealer that carries them.

I wanted to some of the schwalbe tires but couldn't find any in The US. I only made about 6dials before I settled on the Prima White walls

SockyTX I called all over and even had a Shwalbe bicycle tire dealer call Shwalbe Canada but they don't seem to have any in stock, mmmm.
Now I'll have to start all over again. I had the same problem trying to find a Momo helmet, still can't find one.
We get a lot of rain here so maybe I'll look a little closer at the Heidenau K47, thanks magnato.
