Broken horn cover

Post by Stilts »

So the heavy winds that have hit Baltimore this evening managed to push my bike over, cracking...no, shattering...the horn cover just before I went out to secure her. Getting a replacement is no problem, to a point. Anyone know if Genuine sells these things in the standard bike colors (slate blue, in this case) or do they always come unfinished?

I have always seen them unfinished or... chrome! You can also, if you like, try replacing it with the smooth PX cover: no lower badge like this one: Image

I have the slate blue stella, put one of those on mine and left it black. I still have the old slate blue horn cover, actually..... if you're interested. I don't think I'm going to put it back on.

if you feel feisty, you could swap on one if the GS replica horncasts. Check SIP or TSR for those.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

A dealer should be able to get them in the stock colors but they may have to order them.
