Nice detailed review. I'll disagree a little about fit/finish as I certainly think the white/ivory is at least as good as anything I've seen from Kymco.
Comparing to the Vespa lx150...I find the Vespa considerably more peppy off the line but Stella is still a smooth cruiser with adequate accelleration to cruising speed.
He's right about the Stella being rear heavy...much more difficult to wrest up on the stand than the Vespa. On the other hand...it is very well balanced and easy to slow down and keep your feet off the ground at almost a dead stop.
Glove box is spacious compared to the Lx150...but there's nothing under the seat so you really do need to add some chrome racks and/or a top case.
The large canvas one by Prima (roll bag) and the Prima front and rear spring racks are what we added...and a straw front basket from Nantucket Baskets. I think they complement the vintage look and provide all the carrying capacity we need.
One minor quibble is there is no helmet hook under the seat, which they should include since there is no other helmet storage provision.
Within the 1st week the Stella would not start due to 1. A fuel line kinking problem and 2. A defective CDI (capacitive discharge ignition) module.
From what I'm told...these issues have occurred on others of the first 300 produced. They were solved easily and for free... but one should be aware of the issue so as not to waste time and $$ looking for other causes!
All in all...we are quite happy with the StellaAuto for our needs and think she is an instant classic.

Great suggestion...wasn't aware those existed! Thanks!stASH wrote:I think combined with a helmet lock extender, you can use the cowl release levers as a helmet hook.Cam wrote:One minor quibble is there is no helmet hook under the seat, which they should include since there is no other helmet storage provision.

I've had a red auto Stella for about 400 miles now, and I agree 100 % with the excellent review posted above. Love it as much as my Vespa GTS but I'd ride them for different purposes.
I rode the scooter out of gas today and it took 1.63 gallons to the top of the filler tube. When the gauge says empty, it really is.
One more thank you for the helmet hook idea!
