Clutch problem with Stella 4T

On the way to work yesterday, I got the dreaded limp clutch lever, which usually means snapped clutch cable. So, I rode the last mile in 2nd, parked and planned on just doing the replacement at the end of the day before heading home.
But - the cable was fine and I realized this AFTER removing it. On closer inspection, I noticed the clutch arm that the cable yanks on has lost some of its resistance. It can be pushed past the point where it usually stops and needs the lever to disengage.
So, I'm not sure what the problem is yet as I'm not to familiar with the anatomy of a scooter clutch - but will most likely be taking a crash course this weekend.
Any guesses as to what's going on?
Thanks!!!
