As the topic implies my scoot seems to want to lurch when I'm in 3rd and 4th. Anyone know a solution?

Initial guess? worn cruciform.
Describe lurching more? jumping out of gear or trying to?

4500 MI and it doesn't seem to want to get out of gear (yet)? I'll be giving it gas in 3rd and it feels like the rear wheel wants to speed up instead of staying constant at speed. It's hard to describe. It's like one of those things you feel when you ride it....

My guess...and it is just an internet guess ...is that the clutch is slipping

It's normal at the clutch lever.

The clutches are pretty sturdy on these bikes. It could be a couple of things. The easy ones first.
1.) check the shifter cables and make sure the bike is going into the gears
2.) Good chance the bronze clutch pusher has broken. This can be looked at by pulling off the clutch cover. If the bronze piece is trashed, check the pusher arm ,too. If you need to replace get a better one. I like SIP, but even an Italian one will last better.
3.) clutch is busted, you will see this when you pull the cover to inspect the bronze part. Make sure the clutch is tight on the shaft. I have seen a sheared key on the shaft before.
4.) Tears. The cruciform IS worn. Its INSIDE. You will need to pull the transmission. I hope its something else. That would be VERY low miles for a worn cruciform, but I have seen one bad at low miles before. Again, if it is, get a good well made one.
Best of luck. Ask away if you need. I will try to watch this thread.
