Stella question about green wire near oil dipstick

Hi all! I am still getting to know my Stella after getting it in April. I've done oil change (with help), tire rotation, check the oil often and all the good fun maintenance so far.

The other day, I noticed that a green wire was disconnected from where it seems to belong (posted a pic). It's near the dipstick, but on some pictures of the area in the Service Manual it doesn't even seem to exist. According the wiring diagram in my Owner's Manual there is a green wire that goes to Magneto? What is Magneto? Why does my bike still run like a dream without this wire attached?

I believe that wire is connected to the neutral light on the headset. If that's disconnected, the light letting you know the bike is in neutral shouldn't work.

Yep.. thats the neutral light wire.
Maybe you've noticed that your neutral light aint lighting up anymore.
It goes back into the hole right next to the wire boot in your picture.
See the wire terminal sunk into that hole???
Your rubber boot hides the end of that wire, and that end hooks to that terminal in the hole.
Connect it back up. Good luck

You guys are right!

Thanks guys! You're totally right! I guess I didn't notice since I do all my riding in the bright Arizona daytime. I'll have to get it hooked up again - wiring diagrams are still a struggle for me!

Ya dont need a diagram for this one, frogger mario...
Just plug that 1 wire crimp back into its mate... tuck in
the rubber... and away she goes! ?. No tools
