Pink Stella!!!

Hey, gang.

Haven't posted for a very long time, but I have some great news--I bought a used, pink Stella for my girlfriend. She is not yet a rider, not sure if she even wants to ride, but after surprising her with it on Saturday, she's now interested in trying it. If she likes it, I am pushing her towards an MSF class. She already has good riding gear and know how to drive a stick.

So, pink is not the most common Stella color. Anyone have an idea of how many pink ones were imported? This one was originally sold by Scooterville and I know the previous (and original) owner. I was very excited when it showed up on consignment there. We set a fair price, I had them give her a once-over (needed a couple items) and she runs like a charm. We were trying to brainstorm and believe that no more than five were ever sold in the Twin Cities.

It's a shame that winter is practically here. I don't know if she'll get out again this year, so will probably get winterized this weekend.

We've named her Stello Kitty.

It's great to be back!

Nice find!
I'm interested in your "get winterized".
What are your steps to get it winterized?
And will it be parked outside, inside an unheated garage, or in a heated space?
Thanks.

--Full tank of gas with Stabil.
--Pull the battery (or add a hookup for the Battery Tender).
--Cover and park in unheated garage.

That's it. I still need to change oil on my BMW GS before that one gets tucked away. At this time last year, we had over 20" of snow. At least the roads are clear. For now.

No worries!
It's an '05. I'm fairly certain Genuine only brought them in that year. Still would love to know exactly how many...

I have heard that the Pink Stella's are rarer than the Atomic Fireball bikes and they only had 150 Atomic Fireballs made.

I believe there were only 92 of the pink Stellas sold. They were sold as a 2005 model.

I had no idea they were that rare .... I actually bought a pink 05 last year and ride it as my daily commuter (16 miles each way for one job and on other days 34 miles each way for my other job) I absolutely LOVE it :) Image[/img]
