I will need a Genuine G400C next year

Post by New2Scoots »

I'm getting older & weaker. I sold a motorcycle last year because I dropped it & no longer could pick it up. I'm beginning to struggle with the motorcycle that replaced it. This is probably my last year with this bike. I cannot give up riding, I started in 1973. So I'm looking at options under 400 pounds. Royal Enfield Classic 350 is beautiful but 430 pounds. Nope. Yamaha MT-03, Kawasaki Z400 & Honda CB300R are all nearly $1,000 more than the Genuine. So I looked at the Genuine website & found a dealer who sells the G400C. Interesting that it's a local motorcycle dealer. Several new ones for $3,999. Wow. Hopefully dealer fees aren't bad. Right after tax season next year I'll be ready. For what it's worth I had a 400cc single in 1982. Suzuki GN400. Loved it. Light & nimble & I pushed it hard on winding roads. Crashed it once. Put a smaller sprocket on back & saw an indicated 92 mph with my chin on the tank, elbows & knees tucked in.

I lowered the seat a little more which probably bought me a little time. I'm waiting to see how much longer I can keep the motorcycle for now, depending on my physical health.
