WHERE CAN I BUY CHROME WHEELS FOR MY 2006 BLUR
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY SOME CHROME AFTERMARKET WHEELS FOR MY BIKE. I WANT TO RUN A 140 IN THE REAR. PLUS CAN I GO OVER A 13 INCH RIM WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS? I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT SANDBLASTING AND CHROMING THE OEM WHEELS BUT I HAVE DECIDED AFTERMARKET WOULD END UP LOOKING BETTER AND PROBABLY BE CHEAPER, I JUST CANT FIND ANY ANYWHERE.

Cheaper, yes (though I don't know of any available), but most aftermarket scooter stuff is pretty rinky-dink quality. Even if you can find it online (speaking a variety of asian languages would help,) I'd be nervous about buying it without seeing it first.BIGNASTY wrote:AFTERMARKET WOULD END UP LOOKING BETTER AND PROBABLY BE CHEAPER.
2strokebuzz: When news breaks, we put it under a tarp in the garage.

Scooters are a way of life in most parts of Asia, so aftermarket parts are as common as fleas on a dog. When I was living in Taiwan, the shops there were filled with wheels (and tires) of all descriptions. It was like going to a well stocked wheel and tire shop for cars here in the U.S. There was also enough aftermarket parts/upgrades to make a true scooterist salivate.

Hey whiteoryx, very nice scooter, but I think I need sunglasses to look at it!
Also, is that the stock seat? I like it.

the thing with chrome aside from being expensive to have it done is...
...the one who has to do it need to be really good, especially with the plating process..
and to get the get the best result...it has to be thick enough to give the best quality...otherwise it will flake out sooner than you think...
