Hi I"ve been spending months trying to decide what Scooter to buy.
I"ve decided on a Blur but there are none to be found here in Middle Tennessee area. I"m 30 Miles South of Nashville.
I"ve found a Couple a few States over but they want $3700.
more for them. Any Ideas, I would entertain a used one even.
I also have a question the 06 Models States its a 2 Cycle Engine and the 07 Model States its a 4 Cycle Engine. Is this correct?
I don"t understand this Scooter seems to be very popular, I wonder why
Genuine won"t bring more in for 08?
I like the Buddy 125 but the Disc Brakes Front and Rear, a little more Power and the better Shocks and the Sportier look the Blur has, just seems to be what I"ve been looking for.
Thanks for all the Info on the Blur that has been posted. I think I"ve
read the majority of Posts. Mike

Sorry to say, but i think you are about 2 weeks late in making your decision to buy a Blur. If you have ANY luck finding one anywhere at this point, your not going to be in a position to negotiate on it, cause the dealers know there are no more to be had, and its a hot item. Just take what you can find if you can justify the price, or just post up a wanted ad in the for sale forum and see where that takes you for a used one.
Good luck thou, your gonna need it!

the fine folks at Fun on Wheels in Frederick MD had one '06 left last week when I picked mine up. $2999 + freight & prep - about $3250 OTD. both '06 & '07 are 4 strokers - the orange makes the '06 a little faster
Philadelphia Scooters had an '07 for about the same price you quoted locally $3700 OTD
good luck in your search - it's an awesome scoot

Indeed! If you can find one, buy it immediately! At this point finding a Buddy 125 is getting tricky, let alone the Blur. Scooterville Minneapolis bought out everything Genuine had left that wasn't sitting on the showroom at Scooterworks, so they might still have one. It'd but kind of a bear to get back to Tennessee, but were I in the market again, I'd go well out of my way to find a Blur.

Blur availability
I picked up a new '06 at Scooterworks in Chicago last week, but it was their last.
They did have a reconditioned used '06 that they were rebuilding the motor for. You might want to check with Jason at Scooterworks to see if they still have it (it was a fair price, but I don't remember what).

Blur Purchase
Thanks for the replies on the search for a Blur.
It would seem there are very few if any available
and with the Sky Rocketing Prices
of Fuel these days, Scooters in General are getting hard to find.
The News interviewd a Local Scooter Store Owner and they
only had 1 Scooter left.
Just a thought would it help to Call or Email Genuine
Scooter Co and let them know of my interest to Purchase a Blur?
I was reading some Post from April and someone implied they
weren"t going to Import anymore until they sold all the 06 and 07.
It would seem to me that if more people would let the Company
know of their interest in the Blur they might bring them
back for 09.
Was wondering when the 09 come out.
I would like to see the Blur included. Thanks for all the help.
If someone has a Blur close to the Middle Tennessee area or knows of a
New one please let me know. The Blur is worth being Patient for.
Thanks for the help. Mike

Re: Blur Purchase
Hard to say, the rumors generally start in November, they make official announcements in December, show the bikes at motorcycle shows over the winter, and have them to dealers in early spring, but the Blur came out of nowhere in July/August 2006, and the Stella schedule seems to depend on LML's whims.af4ar wrote:Was wondering when the 09 come out.
They're probably buying every scooter they can get from PGO right now, most dealers are sold out of bikes and the July shipment is already spoken for at many dealers.
They're bringing in the majority of PGO's line right now, rebranded of course, and the ones they're not bringing in aren't that exciting. The only new bike I can find in PGO's line is sort of a Kymco Agility knockoff that's supposed to be pretty decent, even if that's in full production now, we wouldn't see it until late summer. Genuine hasn't said anything about that, or hybrid Buddies, I'm sure they'd love to get their hands on those.
The other rumor is PGO/LML/Genuine cooperation on an automatic Stella, but I'll believe that when I see it.
The Blur was a slow seller last year, but with scooter sales as they are right now, they seem to be able to sell anything they put on the floor. I can't imagine they won't bring it back, but again, it'd probaby be late summer at the earliest. There are a lot of minor Blur variations they could bring over, but it sounded like the 2-valve Blur 200 was a dud, and the 4-valve 150 is maybe too expensive.
I hear PGO's redoing a lot of stuff right now to meet new emissions regs, so I wouldn't be surprised if all their bikes have fuel injection by next year. Which will drive the price up, but it'll be cool.
