Clutch and contra springs

Pulled the variator and clutch out for a general going-over and a new set of Dr. Pulley sliders. Once I finally got the clutch completely broken down, I noticed that the contra spring is blue and the 3 individual springs on the clutch shoes are either not color-tagged, or what appears to be red. I thought that the color codes on all of the clutch component springs were supposed to be same.
Brings to mind another question. The clutch material still looks pretty good, but I wonder if it would be possible to just purchase the shoes/pads when replacement time comes, or do you have to purchase the whole clutch assembly? Was also toying with the idea of getting some clutch material from McMaster-Carr, grinding off the old stuff (when it's time) and JBWelding the new material on.
