Modern Buddy

I have a shot at an '07 Blur 150 with 1400 miles for ~$1700 OTD. I was wondering if it's a good deal and if parts are still available or if I should maybe pony up a little more for a Buddy 150 demo. Everything I've read about the Blur has been good, but I will be carrying this thing all around the country on my RV and don't want to have problems getting parts.

Here's the thing, if you buy a used one there is no warranty. The blur is a awesome scooter I have the 220i. If I was you and had the extra cash get the new blur or if if I had to choose between the blur 150 used and a buddy 150 demo I would go with the buddy just cause it's pretty much new from the dealer and has 2 year warranty and roadside assistance that's just my 2 cents though

There is that. I think it's strange that Genuine doesn't allow warranty transfers like the "Big 3". I remember reading that now that you mention it.
I like the step through design (bad knee. more wiggle room) so the new Blur doesn't really interest me. I guess I'll save a little more and go for the demo unit.

I think the demo model will be the better choice for you

i bought my blur with just over 1400 on the odo (mine is an 06) and have loved every second of it. it's now got almost 9000 BDU's on the odo and is still going very strong!

if you want it, buy it. the blur and the buddy arte two completel different types of scooters. go with what feels better for you.

I agree. My Buddy 50 is for fun, and my new SS220i is for more fun.

It's fair to say the Blur is "better" as far as engineering, but the Buddy is no slouch at all, and certainly has its merits, most people would probably call the Buddy the aesthetic winner but the Blur has its fans.

With the 220 now available, body parts shouldn't be an issue. Engine parts might be a different story (though Genuine's usually pretty good about keeping stuff in stock), but that'll give you an excuse to put a 220 engine in it. : )

As the owner of two Blurs, I'd go for the Blur, that's a great price, I wouldn't sell mine for that.

And if you don't go for the Blur, please list the dealer and contact info so that one of the "couple of people who ask me about my Blur every week" can have a shot at that decent priced used one.

Either one will be great, but the Buddy is going to be lighter and easier to wheel around. If you fit on the Buddy (knee room is a little tight for some), go ahead and get it.
