Number on the SSi key...

I just happened to notice that there is a number on the secuity plate that slides in and out of the key handle. It's the thing that unlatches the little window on the ignition switch.
Does this number correspond to the number of bikes off the assembly line?
If so, then mine was the 129th SSi made.

It's the actual dealer cost.

I'm guessing not, but I could be wrong. It probably relates to a serial number or pattern on the key for replacement.
Good number not to lose.

I checked my spare key and it has the small tag on the key ring which has the six digit number for key replacement.
The plot thickens, eh?

Hmm. Dunno then. Does it match any of the other numbers on the bike?
Your mission is to ask your dealer and report back.
I suspect that your dealer will not know, because lately I've lost all faith in GSC's ability to communicate with their dealer channel.

There are no matching numbers on the bike. The only other number it comes close to is my IQ, and that's within 50 points.
You would think that on a forum of this size there would be members from PGO, or Genuine, who could answer the hard hitting questions like this that come up from time to time. I'll probably be up all night worrying about...what? Excuse me, I just nodded off for a second.

Heh. Yeah. I hear you.
I've given up wondering what GSC is thinking.

That same number is etched in the altar at Rennes-le-Chateau, in a magic square. Also, if you look at the first character of each paragraph of page 17 in the manual (in Taiwanese, of course) it says (phonetically)
"BLUE APPLES SION MPI BUBU"
Clearly "MPI" is "Motive Power Industries," I think the Nazis hid the holy grail in a cave in Chang Hua county near the PGO factory.
if you make a triangle connecting the two punchout holes and the center of the headlight of a Buddy, then overlay that… wait, I've said too much…

Mayhaps we've said too much. It is rumored that GSC has security personnel disguised as market research specialists. The last thing I need is someone breaking down my front door in the middle of the...wait a minute. What's that!? Arrrrgh...
