Modern Buddy

Hey bad news, my Blur tipped and fell to the left, promptly and cleanly snapping the left brake handle at the midpoint. I can still use it but want to replace quickly. (shop closed today) has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have an idea how hard this is to replace now that the Blur is discontinued or how much it might cost?

Keep in mind that the Blur (the PGO G-Max everywhere else in the world) is not discontinued in the sense that it's no longer made. It simply wasn't imported and offered by Genuine this year. Your dealer should be able to get you any number of replacement parts. Brake handles are also fairly universal and customizable, so you may be able to swap out for brake handles off of a Buddy or even many other scooters if you wanted to go that route. I'd have to look at the Buddy to see, but they could easily be exactly the same handle. If your dealer doesn't come through for you, call scooterworks directly.

I just got my Blur yesterday. This morning I was going to take it out and parked it on my sloping driveway. Closed the gate and boom, the left brake handle was broken. I drove the 45 miles into San Francisco to get a replacement for $7.25 plus tax.

Laura had one of the mechanics (Doug)show me how to replace it, using a Buddy as an example. It was easier than I thought it was going to be.

After the replacement I was able to take it for a my longest ride yet.
