That is a pretty cool gauge setup. And from someone that was part of the scooter scene overseas, the US is still in the dark ages when it comes to scooters...

I realize scooters are not as popular here as overseas, but I guess I'm still surprised at is that nobody seems to be importing any of the cool stuff.
I have a modified Subaru, there are parts not available through dealers here. But there are all kinds of people importing them and making them available here.

The problem is that at this point in time, most of the people here are only interested in 50's style scooters and performance. But I see a glimmer of hope because I've been noticing more people are getting interested in sports scooters because they're getting exposed to them. Whenever/where-ever I park my Blur, people are always looking at it like it was some kind of spaceship, but the response has always been positive. I even get people asking to sit on it.

As gas prices continue to rise, people will come toward scooters, as more modern people dont like retro bikes (like the buddy, met, vespas) they will head for sports bikes. As the sports scooters are way too powerful and still dont get enough mpg (meaning some people want low cc scoots just for in city riding, only sporty ones in US are all high cc), more companies will import their better models. I'd say another 10 years maybe and we will have much more choice of brand and models.

My thought exactly. I doubt it. I bet they drain your battery faster, too. Pretty neat though.
I've been nagging my Genuine contacts and no one's talking, but I really do have a good feeling that it'll be back, and better than ever.

Genuine wouldnt respond to us, because if they told us the blur was coming back, it would be all over the internet and modern buddy, they're making us wait for it.

The PGO one wouldn't surprise me if it was. But the ones nissanman posted I would bet are programable for wheel size.

Genuine's really smart about that, they don't promise things years before they're likely to happen (or unlikely ever to happen) like Italjet, and they don't have Piaggio's problem where they unveil stuff in Europe that we won't see for a year.
They don't have a big PR firm, but they really know how to get word of mouth going, and they have a really reliable mechanism for 'leaking' info, which I'm proud to be a part of, ha.

Yup, the aftermarket ones can be calibrated for just about everything. KM or MPH, shift lights or speed warnings. EGT, everything

Is that a mount for a Tom Tom? How do you think it's attached? I've thought about cutting into the faring to get the handle bar underneath. Anyone have any experience with this? Right now I velcro a Garmin eTrex to a flat area on the faring.

I sure hope that 200 gets here somehow someway! Did you notice that it doesn't have a kick-starter? I also like the seat because it looks lower than my Blur's (I've got short ankles!).
